Using public transport is one of the easiest and most practical ways to explore Lake Garda and visit its towns and villages without a car. The local bus network is run by several companies, each covering different areas of the lake, but routes are well connected, making it easy to travel between regions. In this guide, you’ll find everything you need to know about Lake Garda bus timetables and public transport, routes and tickets, so you can plan your journey and make the most of your time on the lake.
Important: some bus routes around Lake Garda operate seasonally. Many services run only during the summer months, while others are available from spring through to early autumn.

ATV (Eastern Lake Garda): bus timetables
ATV (Azienda Trasporti Verona) operates public transport services across the Verona area, including both urban and extra-urban routes. Thanks to these bus lines, you can easily travel from Verona to Peschiera del Garda and continue all the way up to Riva del Garda along the eastern side of the lake.

Route 164 runs all year round and connects Garda to Verona. With bus 164, you can also easily reach popular theme parks such as Gardaland Park, SEALIFE Aquarium, Movieland and Caneva.

ARRIVA (Western Lake Garda): bus timetables
ARRIVA operates extra-urban public transport services on the western side of Lake Garda, as well as in Brescia and the surrounding area.
LN026 (PDF Timetable)
Brescia – Desenzano – Sirmione – Peschiera – Verona
Route LN026 (also known as 034) runs all year round and connects Verona to Brescia. From Peschiera del Garda, you can reach Sirmione, Desenzano and Lonato del Garda. During the high season, the bus does not stop in Sirmione town centre but at the beginning of the peninsula (Colombare). From there, an ARRIVA shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes to the historic centre.
If you already have a ticket for route 026, no additional fare is required for the shuttle.
RL204 (PDF Timetable)
Desenzano – Padenghe – Monica – Manerba – Salò
Route RL204 provides a fast connection between Desenzano del Garda and Salò. It’s ideal for reaching Lido di Lonato, Padenghe, Moniga, Manerba and Salò.
To continue towards the northern part of the lake, you can change to route LN027.

Salò – Gardone – Toscolano – Gargnano – Limone – Riva
Route LN027 runs all year round between Salò and Riva del Garda. Please note that buses do not run hourly, so it’s best to check timetables in advance when planning your day.

Salò – Gardone – Toscolano – Gargnano
Route RL202-1 runs frequently throughout the day between Salò and Gargnano. It’s a great option if you want to visit the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera.

Desenzano – Padenghe – Soiano – Polpenazze – Puegnago – Salò
Another route from Desenzano del Garda is LN006, which reaches Salò via Padenghe, Soiano, Polpenazze and Puegnago.

Riva del Garda – Madonna di Campiglio
To get from Riva del Garda to Madonna di Campiglio, the most famous resort in the Brenta Dolomites, take route B211 to Ponte Arche. Then change to route B208 to Tione, and finally take route B231 to Madonna di Campiglio.

APAM (Southern Lake Garda & Mantua area): bus timetables
In the southern part of Lake Garda and the inland areas, you can also use APAM buses. These routes allow you to explore the rolling hills south of the lake and travel all the way to Mantua.
